On Painting Faces

by liruandlegallyraven | 05:26 AM

The last time she checked, she doesn't like make-up... she still doesn't. Although donning face cream, powder, and occasionally lip gloss are make-up. It's a light make-up. Besides, she has been told her eyes sometimes seem like eyeshadows have been applied on them. No need for mundane additions.

And, now... when certain situations arise, she HAS to wear not-the-usual-light-make-up. Protocol of looking more-than-the-usual decent. The problem (not a big problem) is she lives with her brother at present. Hence, her trusted make-up artist/s are very far from her present location. A hassle to ask her/him a favor and come at her disposal. She isn't a donya to do so. Don't tell her to go looking for new ones. She attempted before and the result was a mayhem. She looked uglier. It's not necessary to transform her to a doll. Appearances aside, business is business. Everything is important in business. Whatever business means.

She can paint. But, canvases. Not human faces.

...

Right.

An Anecdote of Yesterday: Her male classmate was half-trifling and half-convincing her to treat him to D'Cream. Persistent. She said she doesn't have money and pointed out that if he was to ask for a treat better choose the rich ones like the two other male species walking astride with them. Then they said it should be her not them. She retorted, "Shouldn't be the guys who must treat?". WP snorted, "It's different now. It's the girl."
